Keep Pushing!

I came across this quote a while ago and loved it so much that I made a picture out of it. A lot of times it can feel like no one supports your dreams and that they are trying to talk you out of pursuing your goals. If something is truly in your heart though, you have to learn to ignore the naysayers and continue on your path. When everything is all said and done, the only thing that will matter is your happiness and that you achieved your goals. Just remember that misery loves company, and a person telling you that you cannot accomplish something is probably someone who either failed and gave up or is too afraid to do what you are working on achieving.

    1. Wow! Thank you!!!! Your comment meant so much to me that I'm somewhat at a loss for words. I not only want to be a great physician, but I want to help other great future physicians realize that they can do it as well. I really hope this blog does that, and your comment made me realize that I'm on the right path towards achieving that goal. Thank you so much for that and for taking the time to read my blog!

  2. This is by far my favorite post of yours... actually, I'd vote for a post you had on the Studentdoctors.com forum under the less than 3.0 non-traditional applicant thread :) that's the post that lead me to your website and be a witness to your journey through this blog... for the past few years after graduating from college, I kept believing the lies that I can no longer become a doctor because I wasn't the perfect student while in undergrad... but when i came into that thread, and reading your post of overcoming 2.7 GPA, taking a SMP, while being a single-mom -- i knew the lies i was listening to were just really excuses and every day that i was accepting them, was everyday that i wasn't living out my DREAM! Thank you soooo much for your transparency with your journey, I don't know how long it will take nor exactly what will happen in my journey, but i know i've got to do what I can to pursue my dream and not ending up with the regret that I didn't even try... THANK YOU again for sharing your journey :)!!!
